About us

Established in 2018, the South West Migrant Women’s Group assists and supports migrant women in Bunbury and surrounding areas. We support migrant women with their settlement process and ensure that they have access to appropriate services within the community. This is a free service.

Supporting Women from all over the World

  • Form-filling online and/or hard copy (Centrelink Benefit applications, Violence Restraining Order and more)

  • Online and/or hard copy Visas and Australian Citizenship applications

  • Lodging complaints of Racial Discrimination, Direct Discrimination and Sexual Harassment etc.

  • TAFE and University Enrolments; and Adult Migrant Education Program (AMEP)

  • Support for women who are experiencing Domestic/Family Violence issues

  • Job seeking (Resume, Cover Letter, Selection Criteria)

  • Referrals for financial counselling and financial assistance (food parcels, Foodbank vouchers and bill payments)

  • Referrals for counselling in relationship issues, mental health, drug/alcohol abuse, bullying, grief and family issues

  • Information on volunteering
